WhereTheGoodLifeIsAffordable

The numbers speak for themselves: According to a recent study, Saxony-Anhalt ranks highly with its low cost of living and high disposable incomes. Top childcare, rich cultural offerings, and untouched nature make Saxony-Anhalt the ideal location for skilled workers.

The Numbers Speak for Saxony-Anhalt

Rising incomes and wages, a low cost of living, good childcare, and a lot of culture and nature: These aspects have a significant influence on our quality of life. Compared to the other German states, Saxony-Anhalt is particularly strong in these areas. A recent study by the German Economic Institute (IW) came to this conclusion.

One of the key location arguments of the study is regional prices: People in Saxony-Anhalt have more money left in their pockets than in other regions of Germany. Incomes have been rising continuously for years. Add to that the fact that the cost of living in Saxony-Anhalt is the lowest in the country, with rents and residential property prices being particularly low here. People here thus have more financial leeway leftover for other areas of their lives.

The childcare sector boasts high attendance rates and a wide range of facilities, making Saxony-Anhalt an ideal location for families. In terms of culture, Saxony-Anhalt offers a large variety of popular museums and theaters, while nature’s many untouched spaces invite you to rest and relax. And compared to the national average, Saxony-Anhalt is quickly catching up when it comes to broadband Internet coverage.
